2. Mental Health Officer

MENTAL HEALTH OFFICER
Heddon United FC have a designated Mental Health Officers who is always on hand to offer support to all Club Members.

Brian Thomson
Brian is already an integral part of Heddon United FC, acting as vice-captain to the First Team and wants to ensure that everyone knows who he is, what he does and that most importantly someone is there.

Brian has said “My background in my working life is all about helping people and customers within the industries that I work in. Mental Health and wellbeing means a lot to me as I lost someone very close to me due to mental health and not speaking with someone and because of this I became a mental health first aider. I was very proud when Liam Duffy (Club Chairman) asked me if I would like to take up this role within the club, a club that I see going from strength to strength and in years to come be very big and successful.
It is ok not to be ok and to ask people for help

Brian's role within the club is to offer people help and someone they can talk to in confidence about anything that they may be struggling with.

Should anyone feel the need for a chat, held in the highest of confidence, please don't hesitate to contact Brian via 07496 189014 or Welfare.HeddonUnitedFC@gmail.com
